New old stock or not - that is the question...

Just a question that i'd like an ansr to or others opinions really?

When i'm out and about sifting through the internet i often see alot of private owners and dealers selling Heuers and refering to them as NOS. In my limited experince there is is probably only 1% at most of Heuers out there that fit this catergory but it seems many times more than that seem to think they are NOS! I even came across one the other day that wasn't really much better than very good condition but the seller was actually selling it as NOS!

It either is or isn't surely? My understanding of NOS is that it has never been worn. Period. Can't be sort of, or nearly, or almost, especially if it's been refurbed/repolished. Does that mean it has to have a Heuer sticker on the back or is that just considered a bonus? Something that has been worn somewhat or has been refurbished surely can be mint or near mint, but NOS seems to be bandied about far too much from what i can see?

Perhaps i've got the wrong end of the stick though?!

Thoughts from the forum?

Cheers
Rich
