...picked up my first Siffert yesterday. Not the same day as the anniversary of JS's departure I know. But close enough for me to feel 'significance' after reading this post, particularly given the time I have waited to obtain my own Siffert.

One thing is for sure, though I fell in love with the beauty of the watch initially, after purchasing and significant desktop research (and waiting (im)patiently for Paypal to clear...5 days!!!) it is now the pedigree of the Siffert that provides a large part of its appeal to me. The JS legend has such understated cool (perhaps more than McQueen??) and appeal that I can attest that his life and achievements will definitely live on...at the least through me...a relative new-comer. I think that's something Heuer and OTD can be proud of.
