I spotted this one on the Bonhams site and pointed it out to Arno, given his liking of the logoed watches. Not too surprisingly, he knew of the watch from when it was previously sold and the current estimate is a considerable increase over the selling price six years ago...

And for me, not worth the premium over an unadorned watch - setting aside any effects it might have on financial value, I personally find the logoed watches generally less appealing.

In this case too, Sunray/Sunoco is probably less redolent for a European - it says Nascar to me and that's not one of my favourite formula by any means, although I know it has a huge following in parts of the US. Big enough to cough for an $8k premium? I'm not sure on that.
