Early Carrera 1553 Bs do exactly the same Shaun, though I like to think of them as Vs for violet rather than P for purple :) They had at least 4 batch changes of paint trying to get it right, but I think the violet fade is actually really attractive - it always seems to do it evenly, which helps the overall effect.
