The key to eMails like these is to...

: I forgot to add this little tid-bit. About a
: month ago, my wife got an e-mail asking her
: to give Pay-Pal and E-Bay her passwords,
: social and bank account info for a fraud
: investigation! Of course she didn`t give the
: info! She showed it to me and I reported it!

: The e-mail sure looked convincing to someone
: that may not know better! It was on an
: official looking E-Bay font/style!!

The key to eMails like these is to not take them at face value. Email eBay, or call them and ask. Don't take the bait. No firm will ask in an email to click on a link and give your account name and password(s).
