USA : Carrera 1158 18K gold from the 1977 catalog (prices valid from 1st July 1977) was 1500 USD suggested retail price including bracelet
Germany: Carrera 1158 18K gold from the 1972 catalog (prices valid from 1st January 1974) was 1985 German Mark exclusiv bracelet and 4875 German Mark including "Goldband 88" 18kt -->at that time one dollar was 2,58 DM = 769 USD and 1889 with bracelet
Canada: Carrera 1158 18K gold from 1974 catalog (prices valid from March 1973) was 760 Canadians without bracelet --> here we have one dollar = 1,00 USd-->so compareable price level in Germany (USD) at about that time
Think this explains why the bracelet is such rare to find today :-) you could get two CHN's + you have some spare money left for a weekend with the family....maybe in the 70's this spare weekend was more a spareweek or two :-)
