Just For Fun -- Heuer Poster

Last night, my duaghter was playing with a new piece of shareware that she found, to make posters, banners, collages, etc. It is called "Poster 7" (available as a free trial download), and my daughter was very excited about the poster that she was making -- piecing together numerous photos to make a large collage.

Well, you can probably imagine that it didn't take long for me to get into the act -- playing with some favorite Heuer photos. Here is the result, from 10 or 15 minutes with the program.

This may be "old hat" for our Mac experts [Chuck], people who use PageMaker or similar programs, professionals [Bruce], and others, but I thought it was kind of fun. It is a little rough around the edges -- literally -- but this was my first time playing with this sort of program.

Ideas for the Discussion Forum / OnTheDash / Heuers might include:

  • Scan Day / Poster Day -- everyone submits one favorite photo, and we produce a poster showing all the favorites; of course, we can send the image file instead of actual posters, so everyone can have it printed according to their own size preference, etc.)
  • Contest -- identify all 19 timepieces (and the photographers), and win 19 pounds of M&M's (plain or peanut)
  • Something Else -- ??

Let me know what you think of this first effort with the program. And special thanks to my oldest daughter, Emma, for the inspiration and late night companionship!!

Jeff
