Heuer Diver - breaks $1,000 barrier

Below is the link to a recent ebay auction for one of the most sought after of the Heuer Divers. Its the orange dial automatic movement mens 42mm steel case reference 980.005 featured in the 1979 and 1981 Heuer catalogues. This is the highest price I have seen for any of the Heuer Divers in the last 12 months which is obviously due to the desirability of this reference and the condition which was described as NOS (new old stock). Also worth noting is that there were 3 bidders willing to pay more than US$1,000. My congratulations to the winner who has acquired a beautiful example of the sought after Diver.
