My New Carrera 2447T *PIC*

Just added this watch via eBay. The very honest seller told me the following when I questioned about the red chrono hand. He had just talked to his father about it and he said this is how it was when he bought it new some 40 years ago. He offered to cancel if I wanted, as he guaranteed originality, or deduct a fair value to allow me replace the hand if I wanted.
I took the modest reduction. Appears to be a great looking 2447T with nice GF bracelet
My question, is it possible that this Carrera was assembled with the red hand ?
