Re: Ed. Heuer Carreras
In Response To: Ed. Heuer Carreras ()

Jeff have you ever seen a hexback in 18K or was it an early steel execution only ?
Would you have some pics of early 18 K Ed Heuer signed Carreras in your database ?
Thanks
Arno

: This 18 karat Carrera is a pretty one and a rare execution, no
: doubt about it.

: Over the years, I have seen several of the Carreras marked
: "Ed. Heuer", but I can't recall how many in the 18
: karat version . . . maybe one or two others, but none since I
: started tracking the serial numbers. It is interesting that this
: one has the slotted / notched back, rather than the earlier hex
: back (which seems to be even more rare).

: The construction of the case-back is similar to the construction of
: the backs on the 2444 pre-Carreras, I believe.
