Size Comparison -- Early Autavia (vs) Monaco

Folks tend to think of the Monaco as very big, and the manual-wind Autavias as more moderate, but these photos (and the measurements posted below) show that the Autavia is a bigger chrono, in some senses - - -

Here are the measurements:

  • lug-to lug for the Autavia is 47.5 mm (versus 45.4 for Monaco)

  • across the dial is 39mm for the Autavia (versus 40 for the Monaco)

  • thickness (top of crystal to rear of case) is 13.5 mm for both chronos

So which is bigger?? Probably a matter of perspective and feel on your wrist. The square shape and strong color of the Monaco do cause it to attract more attention.
