Moments Ago: Sammy Davis Monaco Sold at $18,000

Details later, but the news of the moment is that this transitional Monaco has just sold for $18,000 (not including any commissions, etc.), in an Antiquorum auction, being held today in New York City.

I would estimate -- in very rough numbers -- that this is approximately twice the value of the watch itself (in other words, $9,000 for the Monaco and $9,000 for the provenance / Sammy Davis, Jr. connection) . . . maybe it's $8,000 / $10,000, or somewhere in that range.
