Hi Tom.

Lume dots can swell up if they are dry and old and then briefly exposed to moisture, but I'd say there was never enough lume material in a Carrera for them to swell up that much.

Plus you have the fact that the original dots were partly under the markers, whereas there they completely cover half the marker in some cases. Possible to swell out from underneath and cover the top of the marker? Call me cynical, but I doubt it. We often see these relumed in the wrong place when they are relumed, with the lume material just daubed on the end of the marker. Original Carrera lume tends to age more to a paler "pannacotta" colour than the dark tan on this watch.

I'd have to conclude a somewhat clumsy relume with dodgy lume material without strong evidence to the contrary, is the seller the sole owner?
