I am relatively certain that the sides were also satin-finished. The only polished bit should be the ring around the crystal.

Aside from the previously-noted flaws, the biggest tell for me was the "Automatic Chronograph" script. It appears to be a hybrid of the Avant Garde font. Completely wrong.
