Mountain Pass / French (Jura) Region / Switzerland
In Response To: what is/does the ..... ()

A quick, but confusing, Google search tells me that Marchairuz is a mountain pass in the Jura area / canton of Switzerland. I believe that Swiss watchmaking began in the Jura region, and is still very active there today.

I'm not sure why Marchairuz was memorialized on the dial of this Lemania chronograph. Trophy for ski race? Headquarters for Lemania? Probably something entirely different.

: marchairuz, mean/stand for?

: i have seen the one on the salescorner and i
: have to say this "beauty":) you
: found on ebay has a striking resemblence to
: the lemania marchairuz on the sales corner
: except for the dial of course.

: i couldn't say if it's a gallery winner or not,
: as i don't know enough about these lemania
: models to comment, but i know you do
