A&F Seafarer on AQ DirectBid; Sold at $3,770

Nice looking Seafarer, in 2447-style case, sold yesterday on Antiquorum's DirectBid platform, at $3,770. So with the buyer's premium, someone paid $4,140 for it . . . which seems about right. Here is the link to the auction --

I had a go at it, hoping that the early days of DirectBid might be like the early days of eBay, but I had to get to a meeting that started just nine minutes before the auction ended. So I left off the bidding at $3,770, where it ended up. I assume that we will soon see automated bidding / auction sniper software for DirectBid!!

So did anyone here buy it or watch it?

Jeff
