Interesting stuff, I guess all on here are going to very very biased. Playing devils advocate, I still don't agree with Sussex Uni's claim that wristwatches will be defunct in 10-20 years. Like many said, most wristwatches aren't tools, they are, well in essence, a form of jewellery. Having something that you admire & love, handcrafted with history gives the owner a warm glow - it's not about telling the time accurately.

It's a bit like a Uni study coming out with a perfect shoe for women & saying it's the death knell of the stiletto, and women will only have 1 pair of shoes.

I could go on and on about this all day, but it's for the love of them. (watches, not heels - well, whatever floats your boat!!)
