An Amazing Investment / Now 10X Fair Market Value
In Response To: A Poor Investment ()

In the eBay listing six weeks ago, seller suggested that it was worth $6,000 . . . as we discussed here.

Now, we see that the current seller believes that it is worth $10,000 to $20,000.

Of course, this one also made an appearance on ChronoTrader, or maybe it was more of a phantom appearance.

Frankly, I'm not sure whether this one is well-traveled or whether it hasn't treveled at all. One thing that I am sure of -- the value may be in the $1,000 to $2,000 range, it's just that the current seller has added the extra zero.

: If I recall correctly, this was the Monte Carlo that sold for $3670
: about a month ago, certainly an astounding amount. Apparently,
: it wasn't from someone who wanted it dearly, but rather someone
: who was under the impression that he got it for a song.

: From his listing on the bay:

: "Here is the rest of the story...serial number 15128...I just
: bought this on ebay from a person who purchased it from an
: estate sale. I believe this to be worth 10-20K or more...it has
: the orginal box, with insert. Please go to www.onthedash.com
: (Heuer) and research the item."

: Is there something I haven't seen that suggests that this Monte
: Carlo is worth tens of thousands of dollars?
