The Jody (for Abel, from Arno)

I'm calling this one the Jody, in honour of Jody Scheckter. He definitely wore a Camaro, as pictured in a great photo in Arno's book. It probably wasn't a gold camaro, as in the (B&W) photo it is on an early style GF bracelet. I haven't ever seen a GF bracelet in gold, so it was probably steel. But I'm calling this one the Jody as he was South African, and so the gold connection makes sense.

I think g*ld chronos are frowned upon in this forum usually, but hope some of you will enjoy this new arrival, from the Haslinger auction. And I hope Abel will appreciate the cuff links, they were hand made by my grandfather using the design from a South African stamp (and South African gold). He was a dentist, rather than a jeweller, but he was a master craftsmen in working gold, so when not making gold dental work, he made some jewellery. The cuff links are pretty large (bling was not just from the 90's) and the Camaro is elegantly small, so a nice contrast in sizes.

I love the new arrival, it is pretty understated for a solid gold watch, and it is a perfect 70's icon.
