New Arrival: Carrera 1153S, with a Difference

Yet another new arrival . . . a Carrera 1153S, first execution of the production [after the Chronomatics], and this one has a difference . . . yes, it beats at 28,800 vph . . . powered by one of the prototype movements, tested by Heuer, but soon abandoned. soon, we will tell the story of these 28,800 vph movements.

Serial Number on this is within 150 of Arno's Chronomatic . . . consistent with the histpry of Heuer experimenting with the higher beat movements, at the very beginning of the Cal 11 / Chronomatic program. Heuer gave up on these 28,800 movements, ceding this technological position to Zenith (and choosing to focus on the other problems that the Cal 11 was facing).

in the meanwhile, with or without this rare movement, ain't it a pretty one!!
