The "Kennedy" Reference is Confusing

We know that it's an Avenue [based on the length of the blocks] and we know that we are looking South [based on the time on the Monaco and the shadows], and the most "defining" feature in the photo is the underpass. I know of several underpasses on the Avenues, including two three of them on Park Avenue, but the "Kennedy" reference is confusing. I can't think of any meaningful Kennedy reference for Manhattan. Of course Kennedy Airport is far to the East of Manhattan, but I am stumped . . . at least for now!! I will work on it further, during the day today!!
