Happens a lot unfortunately; you can still find those rings occasionally though, normally somewhere between €50 and €75. Try dropping a line to Jasper at http://www.classicheuer.de/Deutsch/ersatzteileglaeser.html or Nic Green at http://www.heuerboy.com/home.htm to see if they have any in stock if no-one comes forward with one.
