Re: The almost perfect watch
In Response To: The almost perfect watch ()

Hi Fabrizio

I suspect there is no perfect watch, just many that are close to perfection...i hope to not find the perfect one ;-)

Yes there is alot going on, but in a good, fascinating way, and i love the creeping chrono hand, the way the lume has turned to cream, many go green on the Lemania Heuers for some reason, the flashes of orange and the red 3H. I have spent much time recently looking at the amazing work of Chuck and it has really inspired me, and this movement whilst it may not be for the purist (considered something of a workhorse), it can do incredible things...for me the day/date finishes off what is a very wearable watch.

Perhaps we should share more Lemania Heuers...my steel 510 523 also gets its fair share of wear :-)

Cheers

Rich

: Dear Rich as a longtime L5100 lover I can't but congratulate you
: for this latest gem in your trove.
: This is a very, very lovely watch, with a military background,
: perfect proportions and the ultimate L5100 case.
: The only thing that detracts just a pinch is how crowded the dial
: ends up to be, with the Heuer shield a bit sacrificed in the
: middle.
: Still...a truly great watch, and one I'd love to have myself.
: Cheers,
: Fabrizio
