Re: okay quick pic of 510 501....

: hello nice find!

thanks for the compliment, although i have seen better ones, but it was fairly cheap all in all so i'm happy with it, until i find a better one.:)

: Its the real thing, I also have meny of these.
: note the nice fluted pushers, its a Lam.
: 5100 movment, One of my faves. I just
: finished one in a old Omega. Any way, early
: 1980s and because its only a day not D.D.

good to know, thanks!

It
: could also be a slower beat than a 28,800.
: Start the timer and or just check the second
: hand against a 7750 or other 5100 you may
: have and see if it beets just a bit short of
: 4 beats per second You can it. Please let me
: know. Meny will say that all 5100s are
: 28,800 beats pre, even the books say it. Buy
: I can say 100% not true I own 2 5100s that
: are slow beat and have serviced one. Nobody
: I know has ever seen one But I bet I will
: now get the real story after finding this
: incredible site!

sorry to say this one is a fast beater. it's a 28,800, but all is not lost as i do have a lemania 5100 that is a slower beater. here is a pic of her.....

this one ticks much slower than the heuer, and i had my watchmaker look at it, and he confirmed it's all original and untampered with, as i always have him look at new ones when i get them.

: she is a nice watch. You can get a G-S thick
: mineral Crystal for it at a suppy house for
: under $5.00 USA size 1.5 TMG 36.0 will go in
: nice and tight and still test good for
: water.

thanks again! i greatly appreciate the info and the enthusiasm!
: enjoy, and if its your 1st 5100 please keep us
: posted as how much you like it and how easy
: it is see the elapesed time .
: Also its the only chrono movment that can take
: 7Gs and still time well!

nope not my first, my third. i do like the movement almost as much as the cal 11-15's maybe more i haven't quite decided yet. i really like the sound and feel of the microrotor winding in the cal 11-15's but the lemania is growing on me. once again thanks for the info!

: Its automatic as I know you know. But if you
: are not real active wind it a little every
: day and it will keep better time.
: Where did you find it? any history on it?

yeah, i know but thanks! sorry no history that i know of, other than it had a hard life and someone enjoyed the hell out of it.:)
: Peter

great post and info, thanks Peter!:)
