Re: Just How Flat Should a "Flat V" Be?

Nice instructive photos - I wish I could get my camera to focus anywhere near that close, even in its macro mode! Thanks Jeff and unnamed lurker :)

Any way we could ease the lurkers into becoming posters? Photos like this are really helpful and I'm sure many of them have things to add to the discussions too. And this is quite a welcoming forum too, compared to some - no jumping on and deriding the new posters here. "OMG, a noob, let's make them wish they never posted!". The odd disagreement, of course, but that just goes to show watches can be an emotive subject. And noone on here knows everything - I was surprised recently that there were two versions of the early Autavia screwback case, for instance, let alone that the difference in dimensions between them are fairly marked. So we all learn as we go.

I realise I might be asking the wrong audience in getting the lurkers to post on why they don't post (!), so maybe some regulars can post on what made them write their first post? Was it some specific discussion, a new arrival that just had to be shown or just generally introducing themself?
