and in doing so you are being inclusive i.e. accomodating all the possibilities that we know of. With Shaun’s additional information on the bezels I would summarise the model into two main groups as follows:

Early: plain steel hands and smooth pushers, engraved caseback, tritium dial, small sub registers, bezel with small teeth (also less vibrant red or prone to fading), white chrono hand (or red) i.e. Mark 1 & 2

Later: red stripe hands (or plain steel), fluted pushers, plain/polished caseback, non-tritium dial, bigger sub registers, bezel with larger teeth (vibrant red and blue), red chrono hand i.e. Mark 3 & 4

Keep it simple and stick with the 4 groups but lets not forget the finer points.
