Ah, now I follow you! Yeah, seems a strange tactic when selling it to stress that, particularly as it IS a real Heuer as you say, not one of the rebranded watches. The versions in steel aren't even particularly de-contented compared to a Carrera, I only call them economy as it's a word Heuer sometimes used in connection with the cheapest watches in the range.

One of the drawbacks of giving catch-all names to things, I guess - unless everyone understands the same thing by it, there can be confusion. Sifferts, Bells, Viceroys, all of those have been used across a variety of watches. Seems the same goes for "poor man's Heuer".
