Re: What in the world???

: Yesterday, we discussed two Autavia

: silver-toned regsiters).

: Well here is another one, offered on ebay
: (Germany). The needles on the registers are
: also "wrong", but what do you make

hi

put simply, the only automatic autavias with luminous, rather than applied, markers are the GMT ( applied markers would have been too high for the extra GMT hand to clear them ) and the diver 100 ( which had a 1000 series style face and mercedes hands ). the silver sub dials were not found on any autavia and all automatics had an applied aperture round the date. note also how the minute track is of too small a diameter and the sub dial markings fail to reach the black ground of the dial, so it seems this dial is wrong.

case looks correct and in very nice condition, but is it a heuer case or one made for bulova or zodiac? the heuer case should be stamped 1163 and the caseback should be stamped heuer-leonidas.

are any more details available?
