I think you are right, sometimes the aquiring of these watches is sometimes down to the desire to photograph and handle them.
This one was very easy.. the pewter finish allowing no reflections or glare. It was the quickest photoshoot ever, about 5 mins - seriously. I couldn't take a bad picture!

I guess this is the fun about watches and photography, it means we get to handle more watches - justified by the want to document them. Then at some point, move them on, only to acquire more. I've certainly bought many divers just to shoot, maybe have minor things repaired, then have sold them on.
