Before I even read your comments about the MR2, that's what I immediately thought. The lights and side intake are very MR2-esk. One thing about this, and the new 911 I hate.. is the Porsche lettering plastered all over the rear, I can't quite believe this got the go-ahead. The designers should be slapped around for that.

The detailing across the rea that intrudes into the light clusters - I'm not a fan of that either. Seems that they have gone for 'cheap tricks' to try to improve the design. I like Porsche for it's simple design ethos.. this looks like it has an Eastern influence - adding silly unnecessary detailing.
