First of all I love the watch and think it would look good on my wrist! As far as the price is concerned, I think when an eBay auction has good pictures and a fair description the price realized is almost always a good indication of what the retail market will bare. A bricks and mortar dealer will advertize a much higher price and usually settle for somewhat less. We will never know what the final sell price at a bricks and mortar dealer is...unless we were the buyer. On eBay...we all know. 10 to 15 years ago...maybe even 5 years ago I used to rely on price guide books. Now I studiously keep track of eBay sales of all of the watches I am interested in. When I buy, I want to buy for less than these average eBay prices, unless the piece is really in stunning condition.

Getting back to the GMT, I think the price is fair retail, but others would know better than I would. Having said that, I want to turn one up for significantly less. I am patient and know it may take a while and may never happen at all. I will find a lot of watches at under my real-time eBay average price tracking...It's just that none of them may be a Heuer Autiva GMT.
