Help identifying my watch *PIC*

For my 50th birthday present to myself, I got my grandfather's Heuer repaired - cost way more than I thought, and probably more than the watch is worth, but never mind - sentiment wins out over economics for a change!

I had asked for the watch to be identified as part of the repair, but this was either missed or ignored by the factory.

I have searched Google and this website, and the closest I have come to identifying it is an 1163MH, but I can never find a picture with the right combination of hand tip colour, text placement, marker type (non-ridged) etc.

I have posted a picture link and would greatly appreciate any comments or suggestions. I understood the watch was bought in '69.

I am very chuffed to be wearing the watch again, it is a real beauty, but I would like to know more about it if possible.

Many thanks!

Bob
