New Meat...

Spent a few days at an annual watch extravaganza near Cincinnati, OH USA this week and picked up a couple of new Heuers including the below pictured first execution 3646 manual wind Autavia. (Sorry about the lousy picture...I should have at least cleaned the crystal but it is tax day and I don't have much time.) The number between the lugs is 970XX. The dial is nicer than it looks in the picture and the case back is appropriately marked and pretty nice. All functions work and the edge of the bezel is still pretty sharp. I also picked up a nearly new little Heuer triple date bumper automatic because it was cheap and and so nice.

I should never have bought my first Heuer and I should never have joined this board. I needed another type of watch to obsess about like I needed a hole in the head. BTW, there were a bunch of decent vintage Heuers at the show...Until I learn enough to know what is right and what is not I am steering clear of anything that seems the least bit messed with.
