Re: Nice
In Response To: Nice ()

Eddie,
I think it was just a need for something different to Heuer. I've tried a few non-Heuers, but have never really got into them. A few years ago I tried on a friends Breitling, and I really like it. Then recently, I spent some time looking for a larger alternative to the 60's Carrera, and my eyes were opened to other marques and styles. This one was for sale on TZ-UK, I knew the seller, as I had sold him a couple of Heuer divers, so I didn't have the worry of buying something that wasn't 'right'.. so, it was a punt more than anything, as it was a good deal. I sold a couple of Heuers that I don't wear to 'balance the books'. Over the past few days, I have really enjoyed wearing it, and it really has grown on me.
One thing that is nice, is that I don't have to worry about it, or treat it with kid gloves, like many of my Heuers. In that way, it's nice to have a do-anything-go-anywhere modern tool watch.

: Looks sharp Stewart, I don’t think that I have ever seen one of
: those Breitlings before. The dial seems to be a bit less busy
: than some, which I like. What got you into the Breitling? Was it
: a trade or just branching out a little bit?
: I may be getting a 60’s Navitimer in a trade with my local
: watchmaker. I’m kinda looking forward to something a little
: different from our usual suspects, but still a vintage chrono.

: How about some comparisons to our beloved Heuers.

: Eddie
