A while back, when we discussed the rising prices of Heuer dashboard timers, I mentioned that I thought part of the problem was that they have become just another line item in high budget car restorations. So rather than going to collectors, they get bought to dress up the interior of a show car. Here is a great example I just found.
These timers clearly have no reason to be in this car from a historical perspective. When looking at a 150,000 Euro restoration job, what's an extra few grand for some dashboard timers?
