Interesting Question: Not Worried with V72 and Cal 12, Etc.
In Response To: Safe-the-Time? ()

Maybe I am simply naive or avoiding the difficult questions, but I am not terribly concerned about parts for most of my watches . . . especially the ones powered by Valjoux 72, V92, and the 773x movements, and the Cal 12 / 15 movements. Perhaps I should inquire of some of our expert watchmakers, but I am assuming that parts are currently abundant and will remain plentiful for a long while. I'm not so sure about "body parts", for example the pushers and crowns, but I have to think that we will be OK for a long time on the parts for the more common movements.

Of course, it will be great to have the views of our experts -- watchmakers and those who more frequently deal in the "projects".

Thanks for introducing this interesting topic.

Jeff
