Great story--an observation about perception

Great piece Shaun intertwining personal history and celebrity provenance. One thing that is striking when you see celebrities and sportsmen wearing Heuers is how much they were truly "sports" watches to be worn at the beach, riding a bike, performing, etc. Obviously with collector values being what they are, we all baby our Heuers today (at least most of us :)). the irony of wearing a great watch like a Monaco is that you only see the watch on your wrist, without any perspective of movement or how you look with it on unless your staring in a mirror. Seeing Sammy performing, even in a static shot, conveys how elegant the bi-compax Monaco is in action, even without the watches incredible detail in evidence.

Truly a spectacular watch with perfect patina--enjoy it.
