UG Polerouter (warning...non Heuer content) *PIC*

I recently took possession of this Polerouter, my first UG. I just can't understand how these watches remain so inexpensive. The unique hands on this one means its from 1956, a couple of years after the first Polerouter's were launched. Research tells me that the Polerouter was the first ever design effort by design legend Gerald Genta - and whilst not quite 'On the Dash', there is a terriffic website devoted to Polerouters (http://www.polerouter.de/index-english.htm)

Its a little larger than a 1960's Carrera making it very wearable.

I paid a little above average as this was from a dealer I trust very much, but I really wanted one with these hands - and I love that its from 1956 (Elvis' big year)
