It is the entire reason for the difference - Zenith dropped some jewels from the autowind and chronograph mechanism to save a buck importing stateside and into a few other countries with similar tariffs. Because Zenith also had a running trademark battle with Zenith electronics in the US, most of these 17J movements were sold as Movado Datachron/Datron HS360s rather than Zenith Primeros (Movado and Zenith being owned by the same holding company, much as Zenith and TAGHeuer co-exist under LVMH today). Wounded by the...ah...lightweight reputation of Movado today, these Datrons are screaming bargains today,
