But the prices have been mad since the M Class and then the GL Class came along. Still some demand for the G-Wagen so they sell a few but most are blinged out AMGs now, which is a shame as it spoils some of the sheer utilitarian functionality of them. A G350 is £81,745 and a G55 AMG is £117, 610 new and that has boosted prices of older models. And most of the newer ones have lost of plastic extrusions, leather interiors etc - but the ones I prefer are the ones with the dents and dings, simple cloth interiors and so on. Been making them since 1979 but you don't see that many in the UK - think a German Land Rover.

Get an armoured one and scare off all the Chelsea tractors!
