Congratulations John, the 1158s are great watches and have seen increasing interest over the last 3 or 4 years, which in turn has been driving the prices up.

I think Rich Crosthwaite's price guide is pretty much spot on where the values are concerned:

The bracelet we see less often and is a bit harder to pitch; I'd say at a guess somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 the value of the watch head. Potentially more if you find a really interested buyer, but not every 1158 owner would take the bracelet - I definitely prefer mine on a strap, for instance. But certainly worth considerably more than the melt value so no thoughts even about going that route!

And pics are always welcome, it helps us place the watch in the timeline with more accuracy, as does the serial if you're willing to share that publicly. If you'd prefer to send that privately, 1158 serials are always a welcome addition to my serial database - carrera_table_mm@btinternet.com
