Sorry , I'm not good with chat stuff ,

“I understand what was asked, and was my reply was.
I trust Jeff's assessment that the hands and bezel are suspect. I remember the many liberties taken by this seller to disguise parts as something they are not. I have seen too much to recommend anyone purchasing from him unless it's for parts they need. Even then I would have serious concerns about the origin of the parts. This seller reputation is less than stellar. “
Chuck.

This is what you said after I stepped in it .I mean stepped into the chat . But to the original question you said “

“elvirab is a well known Heuer faker. AVOID!!!” Chuck

Jeff says the hands are not genuine.
And I submit the seller is suspect in the instance of this watch. Chuck

Jeff , The southern gentleman lawyer that he is, said he did not look that closely at the listing and if you Chuck look at
the hands on any of the old Heuer Autavia’s in the “ Onthedash” the hands are the same . LB

Dial legs can be relocated by a skilled individual. Such skill is well within the sphere of this seller's capabilities or those who he is in contact with regularly. Chuck

Dial legs are arced on and the dial has to be repainted because it burns the face of the dial. LB

I believe the task of reforming this seller is about on par to trying to reform a compulsive liar. I'm not sure it's possible. After what he's done in the past and the tricks he's employed in plying his warez, I honestly don't believe the infinitesimal chance of reformation is worth the effort and resources required to seriously try.
But if you wish to try, more power to you. But sometimes the winning move is to not play with certain people. Chuck

I'm hoping that you are a watch expert and not the governor with the hot line to the electric chair . Just LOL . LB

I bow to your largesse on this one because the bezel is from a Seiko ! LB

But!!!!
sometimes we get so angry and set on the kill we loose sight of what is really happening . LB

I was/am not angry. I'm not "set on the kill".
I stated a fact, the seller is a known seller of fakes. And I've suggested researching what has been reported. The watch in question has the same hands that
: are on the 3 register 2446c . This is
: not a 3-register 2446c. Chuck

The onthedash site does not have a two register example so I used the three register (which all start out as the same movement ) to show that other than the bezel it seemed legit . So I researched all the major components before I posted a message answering the intial question . Which you did not ! and then told me to do the leg work . Nice bit of cheek . The chap who found the Seiko Bezel just kept posting and posting and….. a right and left and an other left !!!
LOL
LB

PS your suggestion about research on my part does not require an answer does it? You should read the posting more , and cut and paste less !
Now was a nice bit of fun ! Wasn't it !!

Just finished watching Calendar Girls on DVD so I have had a good laugh and the movie was very ! very ! Funny as well ! LB

I really don't know what you want. Chuck

– Fun , Laughs , hard to find parts and good Heuers to rescue . LB

When you buy a watch, you also buy a seller. Chuck

I hope I didn’t buy the puff that sold me my pants! LB
