Missing "dot" on bezel

I have acquired a 980.020N Tag Heuer 1000 that is basically in great condition. The dial and hands appear as new and general the bezel is also in good condition EXCEPT the "dot" or small jewel at 10 o'clock is missing. Is this something that can be fixed? If so, how?

I am enjoying wearing the watch even with the above mentioned defect. The band is not in as good a condition as the rest of the watch. I am trying to decide whether to get a leather strap.

Thanks.
