Tale of the Tape: Zenith A277 vs Autavia 2446C

I had a request, by e-mail, for measurements of the Zenith A277, compared with the measurements of the Autavia 2446C.

So that others might benefit from this information, I will post the measurements here:

  • Across the Dial (without Crown): Zenith = 40.5 mm and Autavia = 40.5 mm
  • Lug-to-Lug: Zenith = 46.5 mm and Autavia = 48 mm
  • Thickness (back of case-back to top surface of crystal): Zenith = 13.5 mm and Autavia = 13.5 mm
  • Between the Lugs (width of strap): Zenith = 22 mm and Autavia = 20 mm
So the "bottom line" is that the measurements are very similar . . . the Autavia will occupy a little more real estate on your wrist (with the 48 millimeter lug-to-lug measurement), and the Zenith will require a wider strap (at 22 millimeters), but otherwise the measurements are just about identical. [Let me point out that the "camera angle" in the side-by-side may make the Zenith look a shade larger.]

Interesting comparison!! So which is better looking?

Jeff
