Here's the Cousin
In Response To: Friday - whats on your wrist ()

Paul:

That's an interesting looking chronograph . . . love the "Issued" provenance!!

I had a "cousin" . . . world cities on the bezel, rather than the countdown minutes, plus hour recorder, plus the "day". This one never excited me, so it moved on to a new home.

The Carrera connection that you point out is interesting!!

Thanks for kicking off our Friday in such good style!!

Jeff

: My latest is a Australian military Lemania 5100 most likely RAN
: (Royal Australian Navy) from 1981. Its shares many features with
: the SAAF cal. 5012 but has the upgraded movement and broad arrow
: on the dial. Very cool military markings and this being no 32
: and one of 5 that have surfaced as far as I can tell. You may
: recognise the case as that used on the Carrera Lemania series
: with the obvious modification for the bezel which gives the
: watch a larger feel on the wrist. Cool piece and a healthy break
: from Autavia.
: Have a great weekend
: regards
