"Prancing Horses" on Heuer Monte Carlo
In Response To: Interesting Monte Carlo ()

We have seen a few of these over the years, in the "Pat Appl. For" era. Shown below (first photo) is an especially nice looking Rally Master Pair, with the Prancing Horses on the Monte Carlo.

We have also seen a triple set, with two of the Ferrari Monte Carlos, but I will need to dig for the photos.

In terms of the triple set now offered in eBay, this set does look like a bit of a mess, with the mismatched Monte Carlos and the Super Autavia. Probably not from the dashboard of a 1960s rally car, but still a nice little collection of three timepieces, and the Ferrari Monte Carlo looks right. Perhaps some rally driver / navigator selected this combination, back in the day, but not sure how likely that would be.

It will be interesting to watch this auction and see what premium we see for the Ferrari Monte Carlo, in view of the likely "discount" on the other pieces.

: An earlier (pat. applied for) with the " Cavallino
: Rampante". Nice touch on a 250 SWB dash.
