Another Nasty Looking Monaco 73633B

We discuss how many of the precious ones there might be, the 1158 Carreras, the black PVD Monacos, the earliest Autavias, etc.

Today, I am wondering whether we will ever see the last of the nasty-looking refinished three-register Monacos, Reference 73633B, as shown below.

This one is offered for sale here.

I don't accuse the seller on knowingly misrepresenting the watch. I don't know anything about the seller, and have concluded that most of these high-end dealers and ultra cool lifestyle / fashion websites don't have the time (or inclination) to check the authenticity of these old Heuers.

We can only hope that the prospective purchaser will do his research, and find this discussion forum or this page -- http://www.onthedash.com/docs/CompareMonMan.shtml Otherwise, the purchaser may have thrown away a lot of money . . . not that some purchasers show much concern about doing that.

OK, rant over . . . now back to work!!

Jeff
