if it is not a fake, i will eat my hat!
In Response To: Are these Flygrafs fake? ()

I have a statement from heuer in switzerland that confirmms that heuer never ever made a flygraf. I also have a statement from "good ol' bernie" that confirms he makes heuer flygrafs".

You will notice that the back is inscribed with "HEUER LEONIDAS SA" , have you ever seen the logo in such a large plain font on any heuer? Any heuer with such a large logo is a fake and you will find many of them on ebay, so beware.

I would also concentrate on the heuer logo on the dial, ask the seller for a close up (very close) you will find that it is smudgy and irregular. A bit of dish washing liquid will also remove the logo from the face as it is made using tippex (an old south american technique).

These are definite fakes and i would not be supprised if they all came from the same den. Bernie obviously learnt a trick or two from his grandfather (the watchmaker). He has produced many renowned fakes. This is just another one that has ended up in some unlucky chaps lap.

regards
