So sorry to hear of your predicament. Guess that was a painful lesson in child rearing.

Get your watch ASAP to the nearest watchmaker. The water will start to oxidize the metal VERY quickly. Some might even suggest to re-submerge it in water until a professional can dry and inspect it.

BTW, Got any pics with water dripping out of the winder stem? Is the watch now useful as a bubble level with an air pocket under the crystal? Sorry, that was in bad taste, but just trying to lighten up a bad situation for you. Hope you can laugh along.
