What Happens with Gray Card??

the more photos I take, the more I realize that the magic is in the diffusion / reflection of light, which can produce very different looks for the same watch using the same light source.

so in between the wash-out (that the white can produce) and the harshness and loss of detail (from the black), what will gray produce??

thanks for the research and samples.

: Hi evryone,

: I shot a Carrera '64 today using a black card
: to bounce detail and a white card to bounce
: the dial reflections. I came up with
: basically two different hand looks for the
: same watch.
: Not bad, 2 watches for the price of one.

: Regards
